New colors for HP MJF printed grey parts.

New vibrant colors for HP MJF printed parts

The German post-processing expert DyeMansion has developed 17 new colors for grey HP Multi Jet Fusion parts made of PA12. The new release opens up new fields of applications for parts produced with the HP Multi Jet Fusion process.

For several years now, users who use 3D printed plastics with a white base material have been benefiting from the color selection provided by DyeMansion’s DeepDye Coloring process. But for plastics with a grey base material, the color options have been limited to black and dark shades. That changes now. In the past months a new color palette was developed especially for grey PA12 components produced with the HP Multi Jet Fusion process (4200/5200 series).

“The number of HP systems in the market is growing and our customers’ demand for vibrant colors for their grey parts was strong. We have taken up this challenge and now respond to the needs of the market with a new color line. We are looking forward to the first colorful products on the market and are excited to see which industry will be the forerunner here. “, says Kai Witter, Chief Customer Officer at DyeMansion.

The 17 new colors range from classic black and grey tones, through rich blue tones, to strong red tones. The new line also includes refreshing green and turquoise tones as well as a lively yellow and a vibrant pink. A previously unseen color spectrum on grey parts. This opens up completely new fields of applications for AM products made of PA12 (HP 3D HR PA 12), for example in the consumer goods sector, for orthopaedics or the automotive industry for high-value interior parts.

The new colors will be commercially available from July 2020 on and will be tested with selected customers in a beta program.
