On paper, almost everything works. 🖊️ But the trut On paper, almost everything works. 🖊️
But the truth is that a lot of ideas never make it into reality.

Early on, @the_loopfactory saw that many companies lack the ability to take sustainable ideas all the way to production.

“Our role became to create a platform where innovation can happen faster without losing the connection to real-world implementation”, says Maria Ström, CEO.

Most projects begin with a customer concept that needs to be adapted to both material and production. The team reworks the design and develops the tools needed to actually produce it.

"SOLIDWORKS enables us to work more systematically with 3D modeling and design, allowing us to visualize and iterate solutions early in the development process."

In addition, they can 3D print customized tools, designed in SOLIDWORKS, that's needed in the production stage. All to ensure that sustainable ideas can be turned into reality and then scaled.

Just have a look at this lamp made from recycled textile fibers, developed, tested and designed for scale. 💡

Fast track through a virtual drop test 💥 We ran a Fast track through a virtual drop test 💥

We ran a virtual IK10 impact test (EN 62262) — the highest impact resistance rating in the standard. IK10 corresponds to a 20 J impact, created by dropping a 5 kg mass from 400 mm.

Using SIMULIA Abaqus, we simulated this drop onto a plastic test piece fixed to a test bed. The material model includes damage initiation and evolution, allowing us to capture not just deformation but how and where the part actually fails.

In the results, the orange region shows the plastic beginning to rip and degrade around the impact point — the exact failure mode IK10 is designed to expose.

This is the kind of insight you rarely get from a single physical test — but simulation makes it visible, measurable, and repeatable.

If you're ever working on your SOLIDWORKS model in If you're ever working on your SOLIDWORKS model in a tight space, you might have to use your track pad.
Knowing how to use the arrow keys to rotate your model can save you a lot of frustration. 😌
