Why Use the Tagging Feature in 3DEXPERIENCE?
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform is designed to streamline collaboration, and the tagging feature allows you to notify colleagues instantly. This method is helpful for keeping everyone informed about specific tasks or updates without leaving the platform
Step-by-Step Guide to Notifying Colleagues in 3DEXPERIENCE
1. Open Your Project in SOLIDWORKS– Start by opening the project in which you would like to tag your colleagues.
2. Open the MySession Widget– On the right-hand side of your screen, open the MySession Widget in SOLIDWORKS. This widget will allow you to view important information about your current project and access collaboration tools.
3. Access the Comments Section– Navigate to the properties information panel of the part you’re working on. From here, locate the comments section. This is where you’ll be able to add a comment and tag your colleague.
4. Tag Your Colleague– In the comments section, start by typing your message. To notify your colleague, simply add their name as a tag (e.g., @ColleagueName). When you send this comment, your colleague will receive an immediate notification.
Your Colleague is Notified Instantly
Once you’ve sent the comment with the tag, your colleague will receive a notification on their screen. They can either click the notification directly or access it via the notification panel inside their MySession widget.
When they click on the notification, it will open in their default web browser. They can then see the message you sent. From here, they can reply to your comment or take action as needed.
If they need to make changes to the file, they can go to the revisions tab, drag the file into SOLIDWORKS, and start working on their assigned tasks.
