PLM Group, the largest Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS partner in Nordics and Baltics, acquires the Norwegian 3DEXPERIENCE reseller PLM Technology AS.
PLM Technology has many customers, within many industries, working with 3D product design and advanced simulations in Norway. Typically, customers use simulation to speed up time to market, improve product performance and quality.
“The customers and expertise of PLM Technology AS will accelerate our ambitions to become a leading partner for advanced simulation in the Nordic region,” Jan Lundström, CEO of PLM Group.
“The importance of virtual testing in product development will continue to grow and we will be able to offer both stand-alone solutions and solutions integrated in our 3DEXPERIENCE platform through SIMULIA and ABAQUS from Dassault Systèmes. We strive to give all our customers access to advanced simulation expertise. As a bonus with this acquisition, we are also expanding our CAD offer from SOLIDWORKS to also include CATIA”, says Jan Lundström.

After building PLM Technology AS for 17 years, Kjell-Ove Fredhjem is confident of his decision. “I entrust the company and our customers to a qualified, reliable and stable owner. Many of our customers already have a good relationship to PLM Group since they have SOLIDWORKS. ”
Fredhjem will continue to work with the new owners until the end of 2022 to ensure a smooth transition process and to support PLM Group’s development of an advanced simulation business.
