1. IJ Pipe: Bringing turning operations in-house with SolidCAM
With no prior CAM experience, the Danish manufacturer of high-performance industrial pipes, IJ Pipe wanted to reduce outsourcing and take control of their turning operations. A tailored SolidCAM setup, combined with a custom post processor and fast onboarding from PLM Group, made the transition smooth. Today, the team confidently programs in-house using SolidCAM’s mill-turn module, achieving reduced material waste and significantly improved production efficiency.
2. Närko: Modernizing design and data with SOLIDWORKS and PDM
Närko builds truck trailers that travel the roads of Europe every day. But behind the scenes, this Swedish company’s design environment lacked integration and scalability. By upgrading to a full SOLIDWORKS suite, including SOLIDWORKS PDM, DriveWorks and DraftSight, they connected their tools with ERP platform Monitor G5 and improved cross-team collaboration. This led to faster design cycles, automated drawings, better data visibility and more time for innovation.
3. Rollco: From overloaded systems to cloud-based clarity
Also based in Sweden, Rollco provides motion technology components used in everything from surgical tables to industrial conveyor systems. Over time, their legacy PDM system became overloaded and difficult to maintain. By migrating to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, fully integrated with SOLIDWORKS, they created a unified, cloud-based setup. With smoother ERP integration and simplified design-to-production workflows, their team now spends more time on smart linear solutions and less on file management.
4. SwePart Transmission: Structuring complex projects with 3DEXPERIENCE
With clients like Volvo, Komatsu and ABB, SwePart from Sweden designs and manufactures custom transmission systems. Their projects often involve hundreds of components and complex revision cycles. By adopting 3DEXPERIENCE, they introduced CAD families, review workflows and centralized file management. Their product structure is now easier to track, while configuration changes are simpler to manage. This has improved their collaboration both internally and externally.
5. Satateräs: Improving data security and design standards with HostPLM
Finnish company Satateräs specializes in heavy-duty lifting equipment, including bridge cranes and custom hoisting solutions. With an aging internal server and growing security concerns, they needed a more reliable solution. Replacing their in-house server with HostPLM, a managed PDM environment from PLM Group brought immediate improvements: better data security, standardized design workflows and a smooth transition with no disruption to daily operations. Implementation was completed in just one day.
6. UP Catalyst: Engineering carbon-negative innovation with simulation
Estonian startup UP Catalyst transforms industrial CO₂ into high-performance materials like carbon nanotubes and graphite, aiming to reshape Europe’s raw materials supply chain. To meet the demanding conditions of their reactor systems, they use SOLIDWORKS Simulation to model heat flow, structural stress and material performance. This helps them develop new reactor modules faster, reduce trial-and-error and scale a carbon-negative technology that could transform energy storage and electronics.
7. SeaSight Solutions: Safer wind turbine lifts with APS
SeaSight Solutions develops advanced lifting equipment for the wind energy industry in Denmark. This includes their flagship product: the Autonomous Positioning System (APS). APS replaces manual taglines with precision-controlled thrusters, allowing one operator to stabilize heavy turbine components during installation. Built with SOLIDWORKS and managed through SOLIDWORKS PDM, the system improves safety, reduces on-site crew needs and gives engineers full control over the product’s lifecycle from design to deployment.
8. SANOVO: Scaling egg-processing tech with a digital backbone
SANOVO has been cracking eggs for more than 60 years. Today, their machines process up to 230,000 eggs per hour for industrial food production. To support design, simulation and clear documentation across sites, they rely on SOLIDWORKS, PDM, Simulation and Composer. This digital setup helps them validate designs faster, create reliable production manuals and maintain traceability across all departments while giving them a scalable foundation for delivering food tech at industrial scale.
