On-demand eLearning

Get access to an eLearning platform, with more than 7500 on-demand videos to help you through any challenging task in SOLIDWORKS, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, CATIA, or a variety of other CAD tools.

Use the platform as a full learning system to assign, take, and track course completions or as a reference guide for your here-and-now challenge.

We are here to help you. Book a 2-hour session with our PLM experts to discuss any specific topic.

Describe your challenge and we will assign the right expert to investigate your questions. You will have two hours where our expert will help you solve your challenge.

The Simulation Starter

Our simulation team to help you with your challenges. The Simulation starter consists of two sessions.

First, introduce simulation and describe your challenges. Second, our experts will demonstrate a simulation based on your challenge and recommend your next step.  

Content Library

Our PLM Group experts have curated a range of elements to make life easy for you. Find macros to optimize your work processes and adaptable manuals, among other things, to help you work smarter.

Premium response time

PLM Group is known for our good response time. With the Elite package, you move ahead of the rest with twice as fast response time on technical support tickets.

Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the service plans

Is the service plans included in my subscription?

Yes, when you renew your SOLIDWORKS or 3DEXPERIENCE license the service plans and all the content of it, is included automatically.

What is the difference between the Essential and Elite package?

The Essential and Elite packages are full of content to make your work easier. Common for both are software upgrades, local technical support, and access to the SolidProfessor learning platform, with countless hours of learning.

The Essential service plan has 1 user access per seat of SOLIDWORKS.

The Elite service plan has 3 user access per seat of SOLIDWORKS, which adds significant value for customers with several users.
Moreover, a yearly ‘Ask an expert’ session, the Simulation Starter, the PLM Content Library, premium response time, and 500 EUR instructor-led training credits.

Do I need service plans for every type of license I own?  

The service plans are valid for SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE subscription licenses, no matter if you choose Essential or Elite.

However, no matter what license you have, you can request the different elements of the service plans for any license you have. For example, you can request an “Ask an Expert” session to discuss your challenges or get access to the on-demand eLearning SolidProfessor platform.

Is the on-demand eLearning Platform accessible everywhere?

Yes, the SolidProfessor platform is possible to access through any browser.


Good to know about the platform:

  • It is provided and hosted by our partner SolidProfessor
  • Your administrator account to SolidProfessor will be created after the renewal of your SOLIDWORKS or 3DEXPEREINCE license and you will be able to manage user access to the platform yourself

Is the Simulation Starter applicable if I don’t work with simulation?

Absolutely! With the Simulation Starter, our experts help you with the simulation challenges you have, no matter what level you are on.

Good to know what is included:

  • One simulation starter per annual seat of the Elite Service Plan, which is co-terminus with your yearly license/subscription renewal
  • Sessions are online and must be pre-scheduled with generally 7 business days lead time
  • To optimize the experience, when booking your session, add a summary of key topics, including examples
  • PLM Group reserves the right to limit the scope of the “Simulation Starter” session when the topic presented exceeds the available time allowance
  • A new session cannot be booked until the previously booked session is completed
  • Sessions can be rescheduled until 2 business days before the planned date. Late rescheduling or cancellation will consume one Simulation Starter session

Can I divide my Ask an Expert sessions?

The Ask an Expert is set up as a two-session activity, where you first explain the challenge, you have and secondly, our experts will provide their insights.

Good to know:

  • One 2-hour session per annual seat of the Elite Service Plan, which is co-terminus with your yearly license/subscription renewal
  • You can’t combine the sessions into larger consulting projects or break them into multiple shorter sessions. However, if you do not have any sessions remaining or don’t have an Elite service plan, 2 hours of consultancy will be billed at our standard rate
  • Sessions are online and must be pre-scheduled with generally 7 business days lead time
  • To optimize the experience, when booking your session, add a summary of key topics, including examples
  • PLM Group reserves the right to limit the scope of the “Ask an Expert” session when the topic presented exceeds the available time allowance
  • A new session cannot be booked until the previously booked session is completed
  •  Sessions can be rescheduled until 2 business days before the planned date. Late rescheduling or cancellation will consume one Ask an Expert session

How can I use my instructor-led training credit to book training?

It is easy to book one of our variety of scheduled training through our booking portal. Find the training you want and enter your credit number to use your 500 EUR credit.

Good to know:

  • The 500 EUR credit can only be used for PLM Groups’ scheduled training and only one credit per booked participant
  • Training has to be booked through the online training portal and entering a valid credit number before the credits expire 
  • Training can be rescheduled until 7 business days before the planned date
  • Credits in the Elite package are coterminous with their respective Elite subscription, typically 12-month expiration with no extensions or exceptions
  •  Credits in the Elite package that are part of a multi-year subscription will be issued credits for each of the years on the subscription
  • All credits will be issued at the beginning of the subscription period and require a minimum of 9+ months of subscription
  •  No additional discount can be combined with the credits
