How to Get Access

If your university is using SOLIDWORKS Education:
Student Access is automatically available for you as a student of the institute. Your teacher will provide a license code for you to grant access – contact your teacher for access.

If your school isn’t using SOLIDWORKS Education yet:
Please contact us and we will help you to integrate this into your school or university.

Our licenses start with a base of 10 users, but you can add as many as necessary to fit your school’s specific needs.

Can students have access to SOLIDWORKS on their own computers?

Yes. All educational licenses allow for students to access SOLIDWORKS whether they are working on a school or a personal device.

How does our school get started with 3DEXPERIENCE for Education if we’re already using the SOLIDWORKS desktop version?

If your institution is ready to move to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, you have two options. We can either connect the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform to your current install base, or you can replace your current license with 3DEXPERIENCE for Education.

Is simulation software included in the license?

Yes, the educational licenses include access to SOLIDWORKS Simulation. It is also possible to add more advanced simulation tools such as SIMULIA.
