Meet the Reigning SOLIDWORKS Champions

We asked last year’s winners why they participated in the competition and what surprised them the most.

I decided to take it mainly to test my skills and, to be honest, also to take a short 15-minute break from work. […] Some advanced features reminded me that there is still a lot to learn, especially tools I do not use often in my daily work, such as multi-body parts and surface modeling.

“I was first of all curious on what was being tested but also wanted to know what qualities I should look further into to develop my own skill. The last test was very challenging and made it clear that there’s still a lot more to learn in certain modules and functionalities of SOLIDWORKS. Especially the surface modelling tools.”

Even with a perfect score, I still picked up a few tips [from the competition] I hadn’t thought about before. […]It’s a fun challenge, and you can learn a few new tricks while seeing how you measure up.

There were some questions about features that I had not used in years or at all in my daily work. [And] some questions might make you at least check out a tool or a new feature that might be useful for your work. Or even make you think about updating your SOLIDWORKS.
