Once you’ve created your curriculum and enrolled students in a class, the next step is giving them meaningful work to complete. The Teacher Experience role on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform makes it easy to control access to course materials and create assignments that are directly connected to your learning content.
By linking assignments to curriculum resources, educators can ensure students have everything they need to complete their work while maintaining a structured learning experience.
Control What Students Can See
Before creating assignments, educators can review a class and determine which curriculum content is visible to students.
Within the class view, bookmarks and their associated content can be made available or hidden from learners. This allows instructors to release materials at the appropriate time, helping guide students through coursework step by step rather than exposing all course content at once.
This level of control can be particularly useful when lessons are designed to build upon previous modules or when assignments should only become available after specific topics have been covered.anagement and delivery.
Create a New Assignment
Creating an assignment starts with selecting the Assignments tab within a class and choosing New Assignment.
Educators can then define important assignment details, including:
- Assignment name
- Instructions
- Start date
- End date
- Associated learning content
These settings help provide students with clear expectations and timelines for completing their work.
Link Assignments to Curriculum Content
One of the most valuable features of the Teacher Experience role is the ability to associate assignments directly with bookmark content from the curriculum.
When an assignment is linked to a bookmark, students can access the relevant learning materials and attachments needed to complete the task. This ensures that supporting documents, reference files, and instructional resources remain connected to the assignment itself.
Instead of searching through multiple locations for resources, students can find the information they need within the context of the assignment, creating a more streamlined learning experience.
Support Better Learning Workflows
The Teacher Experience role helps educators move seamlessly from curriculum creation to classroom delivery. By controlling content visibility, creating structured assignments, and connecting tasks to learning materials, teachers can provide students with clear guidance throughout their CAD education journey.
Whether you’re teaching SOLIDWORKS, engineering design, or other CAD-related subjects, linking assignments directly to curriculum content helps keep students focused, organised, and equipped with the resources they need to succeed.
